The fighting and who's on what side totally makes sense. It's this specific chapter on how they will get the group to safety that felt a bit over the top.

While I do agree that the colored panel does look beautiful, I also think that the artwork should be kept as closed to the original as possible. My suggestion is to do it in the same way Inked Scans did it with Kesa mo Yuraretemasu (They are Still Being Shaken This Morning), as in add it at the end.
Am I gonna have to learn a new language? English as a native language is already difficult for me as it is. I don't have the mental energy to learn a new language where the lettering is not even similar, just for one manga.

I wouldn't call it rare, I still see it enough to maybe call it uncommon, but definitely not rare. But the one thing that I never see is the MC actually returning. But then again, most Isekai stories I have seen are incomplete LN or anime with 1 or 2 seasons.
Keep in mind that the whole point of her going is go somewhere with a lot of water, i.e. the river (page 11). And it also helps that there would be plenty of easy to pick grass and away from a lot of prying eyes.
