What a great chapter. I disagree with the kneejerk blaming of her, and also the opposite argument that he's the bad guy. They had a difficult breakup where both acted hurtfully to each other. And, all this time later, they halfheartedly tried to have a straightforward conversation, and it very...
Kuroi's real wish really got me. It's just so simple and sincere.
Based entirely on tropes found in romance manga, I'm flying to Japan to set up a pop-up band aid stall at festivals. Maybe with a consultant podiatrist on hand. I expect to do brisk business.
I like a complication or two in my romcom. But I know I’m in the minority here. My first thought at the end of the chapter was “Oh, they won’t like that!” 😂
I'm rereading this manga after a while... and this is such a great first chapter. It's fast moving, fun, and there's a twist in it. Even if you predicted that Akizuki was the Trialing Prince, I think there's still a satisfying payoff in the reveal of the symmetrical "crush's crush"...
I hope the focus returns to Kaho again. She’s the most interesting character, and her personality and choices are the reason why the story exists. It seems like the author got bored with her and sidelined her in favor of her sister, who is just annoying.
I'm really enjoying this so far. It's not often that comedy manga will actually make me laugh - often it's just a smile, or I'll think "that's funny". But I've been genuinely laughing at this weirdo character quite a bit.
The final page doesn't have the vertical Japanese text that is on the final page of all the other chapters. So it looks like there is a missing page... Or perhaps the .2 part will follow on from this one directly.
I have been enjoying this series, but this chapter annoyed me. It’s not remotely plausible that he can just dismiss “I love you”. Really, this should have moved the story into a new phase where he realises that she loves him, but is held back because he’s guilty and awkward about deceiving her...
Thank you for scanlating the last couple of chapters! This is such a great series. I had missed it, and the new uploads were a great chance to reread it.
I even considered trying to learn scanlation to try to do it myself! But I had no idea how to get hold of the raws.
I hope you and/or...
I love this manga, but would be good to see one of them be a bit more assertive and get out of their literal comfort zone! Especially with a looming deadline. It's like: your balcony is headed over the cliff, guys, but you're happily making your asparagus frittata or whatever
Thanks for the chapter @GolSho! OL-san's actions and outward-expression last chapter don't quite match up with her internal monologue here... more like a rationalization of a deeper truth! (On the character's part or the author's?). But I enjoyed anyway :)
