Personally, I feel writing the dad's excuses to be "I was an orphan, so I don't know how to be a parent" was terrible, cliche and lazy. I guess I can't expect much from an amateur writer...

The designs for the familiar forms looks really cool. This mangaka is so good at drawing in a wide variety of genres. I wonder how wild they can go in high fantasy settings.
