I figured I would try uploading these here and hope nothing bad happens even though they did takedowns of a bunch of our other series. Seemingly some groups are just continuing to post the stuff that wasn't taken down as usual, and I'll just hope nothing bad happens.

I don't really know much about what folks in Japan think of it. From the searches I did it seems to be mainly that people remember the Section Chief arc and you see references to it if they reference the story at all. And less so as it goes on, as probably fewer and fewer people read that far...

I added all the other Shima series as titles to Mangadex if folks want to uh, follow them or whatever. The rest of the main series plus the prequels. I'm of wary people won't understand the ordering of the series and think you're supposed to start with the "Young Shima Kōsaku" ones. But I think...

The first two chapters in this volume were released/take place in 1995, the third was in 1996, then everything past that was in 1999. Originally Shima had sort of ended after Section Chief and everything past that were sort of bonus "what's he up to now" chapters, but then Hirokane-sensei...
