It also fits in pretty well with Moka's story arc if they breakup on good terms. Instead of the huge disaster that was her first breakup with her ex where she lost her confidence, here she could stay friends and move on without any regrets.
I genuinely didn't expect to be so into this manga...
I feel like their relationship is in a pretty good spot, no matter the outcome. It's pretty sweet how honest they are and willing to open up to each other instead of dragging it out and hurting. Even if it doesn't work out it's a pretty solid basis for a platonic friendship with no bad blood...
