Always got to love the "muhaha we lost the battle, all according to plan". Usually just a crutch for when the author is incapable of managing stakes and making the villain feel intelligent and threatening.

Probably a 4/10 from me. Most of it is perfectly average and howering around a 5. The last few chapters pull it down a notch though as they felt somewhat rushed.

You should feel bad for Astar as she was never really given a chance. Why was she killed, but the other high ranking demons were allowed to live? She never got an explanation or a chance to experience or learn that she was wrong. No one seemed to tell her anything and nobody seemed to care...

This was incredible contrived. MC made stupid decision he probably would not have done had his brain worked as normal. We get this random ass enemy we know absolutely about, which only serves as a plot device according to what the author wants and not what makes sense. MC suddenly forgets any...

Thats my problem with what goes on outside the dragon. Everything surrounding the opposing country makes no sense.

Are there any Japanese authors capable of executing this story trope competently? This is already of to a bad start.
