It was a good translation, and I sincerely hope the response to this one doesn't put you off doing more. Maybe not this specific manga, but there's a ton that got dropped or are being held back by scanlators for no reason and could use some love.

Doing a nice thing for a nervous girl doing her best, inadvertantly showing off his good heart and giving his romantic target a little shock to the system. It's a solid tactic.

See, the problem I have is that her receiving the gift and being happy is a good way to END a chapter, and a bad way to START a chapter. Either there's a lot of build-up to reveal what the gift is with a funny gag OR the gift causes romcom shenanigans and comedic angst. I am in scared of and...

So, Nayu's planning something too, right? A lot of her expressions were concealed, and what we did see was pretty in-tune with Hikoichi. I wouldn't be surprised if she got HIM a gift too, but I would be elated.
