I think it's a difference in how they descended. The Crimson Dragon forfeited all their powers, and became a new human. While the Yellow Dragon didn't but had to bestow them upon a host.
Actually seeing Soo-Won again got me thinking about what the Yellow Dragon said, how the other dragons broke their contract.
Maybe they are the reason behind the crimson dragon disease. Outta jealousy or just reclaiming bits of the Crimson Dragon in an attempt to bring them back to the heavens...
Didn't Hak at one point call himself the Darkness Dragon? Albeit as a joke. Wonder if that will be some foreshadowing.

Makes sense now when you think about it. Zeno can basically do White and Green dragon abilities under the condition he's damaged. (Can't remember if he was able to mimic the Blue dragon)
Plus effective immortality.
