This story has had so many left turns that now we are driving in a tight circle... at lightspeed. No amount of G-force training can prepare us for this series.

Yeah, no one is reading this for consistency at this point. I think the series is 30+ chapters ahead which doesn't help. Also the explanations just have more questions than answers. It's more throw everything on the wall and see what sticks.

The problem that this manga has is pacing, similar to Attack on Titan, they drip feed info between the chapters. Annoying when reading from week to week, better when binged. This manga awesome when I was binging (from chapter 1 for the death of Houken)but now its just check the update.
Most times it ends up being cheaper to fix/renovate and not all of them are in disrepair. Given the state of the declining population, its in Japan's interest to provide incentives for foreigners that live there.
