Bought the currently available volumes already, but it's nice to have an ongoing translation of current chapters so there isn't a long wait for the official release.

You definitely could have worded your request much better and been nicer about it. No reason to really make a big scene out of it and garner ill will towards yourself instead. Just ask them if you can take over translating the work for them without the needless hostility.

Edit: It looks like the Web Novel is being translated. The Light Novel is pretty recent so not sure if there are any differences between them, hopefully a company officially licenses them.
