This is by far the worst garbo I've read in a while, couldn't get past ch. 6. How in the world is this 7.9 average???? I mean revenge manga is already a bit edgy but this one is just porn for masochistic losers.
MC/Plot:
No effort > gets strong
Careless > no consequence
Gets attacked twice >...
The plot is kinda creative but I don't like the way Japanese do the "misunderstanding" trope. It is quite off-putting always having the mc be the butt of the joke, which isn't even funny...
Holy this is so good, def underrated. Characters and situations keep getting more and more unhinged, the comedy is top and even the romance parts are cute, hilarious, unhinged. This is a well mixed pot of purple goey food that actually tastes great!
Dropped on chapter 12. Started alright but quicky went downhill. The plot and character behaviour doesn't have weight behind it. Too many clichés and side characters only seem to be there for comedic relief.
Short and sweet story about healing, forgiveness and moving on. Really love how they pulled each other up and even prevented Paguko from closing herself.
PS: To all those complaining about MC cutting contact with family, I'll say this: Wearing your morality on a stick doesn't make you a "good"...
Not bad tbh, I don't like the age difference but it's refreshing to see a collected MC(at least when dealing with her) who isn't taking advantage of a minor in a Japanese manga. Pretty rare, I'll keep my eye on this.
It is related to the title, didn't think I'd need to expand more... It's harder to have a platonic relationship in a society going through a drough of deep connection and intimacy. Idealizing and fantasizing a friend is a great way to mess with initial platonic feelings.
In regard to the manga...
Imo this is a gem in the making, 10/10 romcom so far. Hoping they keep and develop the philosophical a bit more. Happy with the sugar vibe but wouldn't mind if author introduced some "dark" elements.
It's an obvious extreme but there is a bit of truth to the title... Relationships between men and women are often complicated. Especially in a society lacking genuine connection, strong community and constant idealization of everything.
I mean it's better than most of the romcom out there but I still wish they didn't go into tropes so much...
First few chapters are a bit off-putting but it turns wholesome.
Dropped on chapter 33, the reaction he had to Amy's taunt was robot-like. Author should really put himself in the shoes of the character and ask himself if that was a realistic reaction of someone facing the person who may have killed his lover...
