My guess is it’s a game of chicken. Mikagami and Fine can’t activate skills and Sapphire and Dia are frauds who drummed up their own hype. It’s now a game to see who will reveal their bluff first and quit.
Over 300 chapters and I could read 300 more. What an incredible little series. I hope I can find a new series that scratches this itch at least half as good as the Takagi-san series could. Godspeed to the author and the talented scanlation team.
