I can't say I like Kyuu that much yet, but she seems integral to breaking Legosi's innocence much like Melon is. He's been used to caring for and protecting women in his life, which makes sense considering his mother spent a lot of his life bedridden and defenseless. It's time for him to learn...
Only Beastars could make me this emotional with a filler chapter
I love Bill so fucking much and every time I see him again I'm on the right side of history for it
Amazing to see all these old characters again. Quick thoughts on them all:
Bill - As an apologist for Bill, I'm glad but not surprised to see that he really is/was just an immature teenager who'll become a better guy with age. I love that he's the leader of the drama club now.
Pina - I...
Even though it was a fakeout, I like that it managed to not feel cheap and actually used it to explore how Legosi would react; Haru really is his entire life and passion and he'd have no reason to go on without her. Also, stray observations:
There are tanukis in this world?
I'd be totally okay...
@Fari Yeah, the comment someone @Chojiki posted about the translation makes a lot more sense. I was thinking Legosi somehow incorrectly thought she had sex either out of paranoia or because of the kopi luwak. Just saying "embraced" fits much better.
This is something more I wanted to see explored; Haru struggling to leave behind her promiscuous ways as Legosi so badly wants to be her only. And of course, a fucking cliffhanger lol
I really like the way Melon is being portrayed; even as easily the most evil character yet in this manga, I get the feeling that he can't help being this way and he was doomed to it from birth, which is still depressing even if it doesn't excuse what he does.
