The chapter is named "Fatal Mistake", and then right at the end we see Qin reviving the 6 great general system...what if the actual "fatal mistake" wasn't the one Kyoukai was talking about?
@ryouhira ehm...Yes? I mean the very reason Rei became the Shiyuu in the first place was because Kyoukai fucking dunked the previous Shiyuu along with a dozen of her followers. She broke the code and transcended above the title of the Shiyuu, diving deeper than anyone ever had. If I were Rei, I...
@Casual0bserver Those were most likely bronze armor which were also thin enough to be useable, and while the human body can move to absorb some of the force from the strike, they are also soft and much easier to cut through than a solid boulder (apparently people test their blades on pig...
Rei: "I will kill you as well then, Captain"
Shin: "Bitch please I cleaved Houken in half"
You can even see that Shin doesn't give a fuck about Rei's threat, he is more concerned about Kyoukai
@Oculunus i think you are right. If we actually go through all of the story without interruption then this arc would just be a slow, kinda chill change of pace from the big wars. You know, a little drama inside the unit here and there. Its the fact that we have to wait at least 1 week to read a...
At least Rankai was a half a ton beast, and Houken was like 2,3 meters tall. The Shiyuu is just... I hope Kyoukai defeats her soon so we can get on with it
@Z0mbieJr of course Shin can beat her. Hes a general, with immense weight on his shoulders. She is just another magical buffoon. It would be like Ouki vs Houken, or Shin vs Houken.
My main gripes with this is its straying too far from the original theme. Instead of dreams, unity and great macho...
@jestervae I completely agree on the almost superhero-like strength of generals in this manga, its part of its charm .
However the Bushin-godcaller stuff just deviates from that. Soldiers already viewed their monstrous generals as magical and god-like, and that same viewpoint encouraged them to...
im not a fan of this magical assassin stuff. Does it even have anything to do with becoming a "Great general of the heavens" or "Unity of China"?
And dont tell me this magical assassin is gonna fill Shousa's role.
Id bet most of us here prefer to see great generals of gigantic body proportions...
I hope the Hi Shin Army gets introduced a new member, someone decently trong to fill the hole Shousa left behind. I mean Mouten got Aisen and Ouhon got Akakin
