The synopsis of Konosuba completely glossed over the bitchy Aqua part and fooled some people (read: my younger self) into believing that it would be like this manga.

The artist toned down the gay aspect, while adding a questionable scene between Mikado and Kaguya (and we already knew that both are very, very gay), then complained on X that they felt uncomfortable doing GL/BL stuff. It's quite unprofessional. Check out the comments in this tweet, it's a mess...

I didn't know this one has a (two) manga. I didn't know it was canceled and rebooted. I did read the novel tho (it was licensed by JNC, someone add the tag pls), and the author's writing style was much closer to the slapstick-y cartoonish art style of this one over the, uh, standard? serious...
