I liked the beginning of this arc but they're dragging it on too long, I get they're trying to show truly how smart Fyodor was but it's a nightmare to read through and wait for another chapter of Fyodor getting away
It means he was like a father to Atsushi since he was still the man who raised him, it's like when Dazai said in the anime "Most people tend to cry when their father dies"
