I come back to read this one every now and then. It's absolutely raw.

I like to think this story is directly related to the author's other Tanabata story.

A lot of Hanazawa's stories feature losers as protagonists, so it's not that surprising. I feel like I read somewhere once about how he doesn't think it's as exciting to write characters that aren't losers, because they're not normal enough. But I wouldn't know where to point, if you were to ask me.

I sometimes think back on this work and think about how much potential it had. Every chapter was such a thrill.

Man, I thought Ikariishi was gonna clean up house, but he didn't even have to lift a fist on anyone. Murota is an annoying jackass, but chapters like this remind you that he's one of the bros. The way this one ended was just right.
