It's a rather old fashioned saying, similar to "it would be unbecoming of me" essentially he doesn't want to seem rude or like he was doing good deeds only for recognition and rewards, trying to give the air of a selfless hero.

At least with subtext yuri the yuri is still the focus. IDK how to feel about the lesbian relationship taking a backseat to boring het drama (a love triangle with exes?? how trite). Barely even feels like yuri.

If you really think about it, she's basically looking for career insurance. Writing is an unstable field and she's willing to pay now to ensure she has a life if her career flops in the future. She's really quite smart if you think about it :wooow:

Not the full thing, but I watch the like first 10 or so episodes of fma03 almost yearly. never planned, i just think "holy fuck fma03 was a thing, i should finish it" and never do.

this reminded me what i found off about this. too often when the joke is a man/masculine person playing at femininity, the themes of the story devolve into transphobia. why does the priest even have to be masculine? virgin mothers is a pretty big part of christianity if i'm not wrong and would...

can we have one character who just wants to be a girl. i'm sick of this "oh it's because my mom said she wanted a girl" or whatever. you've already written a clearly transfeminine character now commit to it!! maybe i'm setting myself up for failure here but every time i expect to see even an ok...
