There was a starfall of escape pods when she arrived so it's possible other humans survived.

She was embarrassed to be seen as a couple with him because normally humans are simply eaten. So she was thinking more and more of just eating him but their growing feelings for each other have put a halt to that.

Clever to have this particular teacher follow the absolute insanity that was the previous chapter. Only to have her fall into the madness.

As badly as I want to see the next girlfriend, it's chapters like this that really cement why this series is excellent.

It's certainly a break well earned. Nakamura & Nozawa are among the hardest working mangaka I've ever seen and the quality per page is astounding. I'm looking forward to the color spread. I love when they delve into overt sci-fi or fantasy like this.
