In all honesty, we need more info about this rather fast development. Unless the author traces aaaaall the way back where Takeda was speaking to the grandfather during the fireworks, and it turns out magically that was the point where he mentioned that he wanted to be with her forever.
...and then, Takeda got reallocated to the Moscow branch, where he marries Mona and gets her suuuuper pregnant. The end.
