nah in this manga it's DEFINITELY yuya's fault given his extreme and unwarranted resistance to showing kaede affection on his own and saying that he is in fact in love with her (kaede is rightfully insecure as yuya does a miserable job of keeping his distance from other girls in love with him...
there's a tiny fake out that they don't actually do it (yuya falling asleep before kaede finished bathing) but they do after a very drawn out bath scene (like 3 entire chapters of them bathing together lmao) and then the next chapter cuts out to the day after and they do it again after waking up...
why would they even remove them finally boinking after meeting the parents, that was the resolution of the entire arc in the novel
ig author wouldnt know how to continue the story without bs forced drama involving characters nobody cares about as yuya's fairly likeable novel characterization is...
