Most likely... Marketing for western audiences. Unfortunately I expect this to be a bad move as manga collecting and reading is still a niche hobby. The number of people they bring in from the general audience is not likely to justify the change.
A soulless AI recolor. Eyes often don't match and colors are inconsistent. Details like racial characteristics are lost. I couldn't even tell when the half demon character dropped her disguise.
I don't recommend. I choose the black & white version with official colored pages instead of this crud.
