Well, that's the rule, but often I see people translating from japanese (a heavily neutral language) using they/them, because who know why. It's very confusing.
Thanks for the translation! But, please, don't use "they/them" when someone sex wasn't defined. It's confusing, I always think it's referring to a group, not a single person.
