Understandable. In fact I stated that almost all characters are in the "grey area". These examples are the exceptions. The point i'm making is that the author is trying to make the reader "sympathize" with the clearly evil characters. Like the witches in this case which, as far as i remember...

That's kinda what happens when the author makes almost all characters "morally grey". There really should just be some characters which are good and some that are evil. It would make storytelling much easier to write and more often than not to digest. This is not an universal rule mind you...
