They seem to be doing it for the camera. My guess is that they set it up for a fake kiss on camera to celebrate the sucessful test fire, but decided to do the actual kiss.

Yes and no. Schrödinger proposed the cat in a box experiment because he thought quantum states were just wrong and illogical. However, quantum objects do really behave in that way!
We don’t have a rumen so we can’t eat grass. Nothing stopping us eating raw fish though. Also humans haven’t been eating cooked food long enough for us to have a digestive system ‘evolved’ to eat cooked meat!
