I'll be honest, I enjoyed the ending at first but seeing all the LN spoilers about what was originally intended for Pina and the implications about Remilia soul-torturing dozens of people to death, even if they "deserve" it, creeps me out enough that I'm not sure I'll ever want to reread this.
Yeah I know everyone's hyped for the overnight stay but I would've loved to see Amane strategizing with Otaku-kun on what question to ask the VA and then just being all geeky and cute 😭, oh well!
I don't know the name of the trope where an author gives the bad guy a legitimate grievance and tragic backstory to make things complicated, but then they realize that'll make them too sympathetic and make the MC look bad fighting them, so then they're made to be this unhinged homicidal lunatic...
Every time this trope pops up it feels so insecure. Like the writer doesn't trust the love story to be interesting on its own merits, so oop let's make them fated to marry from when they were kids. Not everyone has to be a soulmate.
