Agreed! I like how, at the end, the protagonist becomes just as numb to and accepting of the horror as everyone else. Definitely could be a commentary on how we as humans are conditioned by society to accept and be complacent about things that are wrong and harmful.

Polygamy is the general, gender neutral term! Polyandry refers to multiple male partners and polygyny refers to multiple female partners. Also, I worked on this chapter so I'm really glad people enjoyed it!

By the way, the jeweler who appears in this chapter is originally from the volume 1 story "Snow White." As far as I'm aware it's the only time a character other than the shopkeeper makes a second appearance.
