I can't say I'm not disappointed, but I guess it could have been worse. There is still a dark/cynical sting here, showing that Miku really is still a demon, and that Gil still has hate in her heart.
Also, I like how the this chapter acts as a visual reference to the anime's ED.
It feels like there is some sort of failsafe that would make the going berserk and killing the demon-hybrids work in Miku's favor. She really did 100% win.
A key point here is that Miku and the Demon Lord are not acting to protect themselves, they are acting to protect the existence demonkind. Even if the humans still hate the demons, the fact that hybridization has become so common means that demons will always exist in some form.
