I wanted to like this story, but I just don't get any good feelings from any of the "sweet" moments when the wife has shown to be emotionally manipulative at the slightest chance to get what she wants. Hell it's to the point I'm almost expecting her being married to him to just be an inside job...
I love Dragon's Crown, and started playing it again today. The fact it has a manga is the coolest thing ever, and I wish more people knew about the series, both the game and the manga!
Meh, lost interest when the story keeps introducing new "love interests" every other chapter. We spend more time with them than the main girl it's about. And the MC's disloyalty grates on the nerves.

All caught up, thank God no harem. A bit hit or miss with the jokes, but at the end of the day I wanted to see a monogamous relationship with wholesome teasing and that's what I got.

If it was, they wouldn't showing the aftermath of the victims as broken woman and worthy of sympathy, showing that the orcs need to change their ways...
I appreciate the consistency of Al's character motivations. Him not letting her chase the Vampire in fear that it would end up as his teammate from the Merman epidition was a nice small call back that I didn't expect to come up again.
