The wrappings have negative side effects. He says that after each fight they get tighter, that he can't take them off anymore, and that it's getting hard to breathe. Presumably, if he doesn't offload the things they will strangle him before too long.
"I want to free her from this curse, that's the only reason I came here"
That's a load of crap, you came here because that's where your plot-hook-giving-power told you the next powerup was. Just like everything else you did in this story.

Serious business is no place to mince words. If one of those gets caught in their intestines... Or even fills up and starts to clog them. I don't even want to think about what would happen. How much damage would be caused before symptoms start to show...
And for some reason the TV isn't mentioning at all how, after the guy who was somehow propping up the nation's economy retires, there is going to be a catastrophic energy shortage
Part of is it probably that she's already involved. The two that got away know who she is and what she looks like, so they'll be seeing her as an obstacle to killing their target and trying to remove her anyway.
Part of it is probably that Mira wants to live her new chance at life protecting...
... That shower stall is huge, why are they on top of each other? Its not like that does anything to obfuscate how many people are inside, if you're looking under the door you see both sets of feet regardless.
