It's sad tho even at the end of vol 1 there's a good, solid backbone for lots more volume to be made.

I just started reading the novel this morning but have to say, unlike how the start portray itself, this is actually a really sad and mature series, I don't know why it's written the way it is. I guess that's what a novel written with no intention to be serialized are.

This island is still weird it's clearly a Japanese island as the vegetation and beach have Earth's ecology, but the monsters and humanoids wounding up here there might be portal that connect it here, might be one way or two way. It's probably where the story expand next.
