Honestly, given how rarely this series updates now, I'm fine with it being episodic. I like having these little chapters, even if this is about all the series is nowadays.
Although... seeing these two handle the challenges of raising children would be a great way to reintroduce plot relevance...

That said, I like this flavor of herbivore. His self-reflection leads to good realizations, I was impressed at his conclusion at the first chapter. Good lesson there for young, aimless guys (like me!)
It does me well to see Masuda Eiji back at the helm of a manga again. His art has improved so much, but it's still got that distinctly Masuda Eiji style. I hope this one flourishes like Jitsu Wa did!

Yes, it's true that human nature tends towards selfish, self-serving attitudes. Any look throughout history and the modern day proves that. People want what's best for them and those in their "in" group, usually at the expense of those who belong to the "other" group.
But why not try? Realism...
