Hi! The last page I had noted as "let me take vengeance ON you" since the main character was doubting his own goals, but I had used "for" without rereading.
Since Maruto is the type of author that writes melancholic tragedy, this manga ending is the fantasy.
He doesn't wake up in the novel version and get round 3 with her. She just gives him a kiss and walks off. I think the novel ending is more in line with what Maruto writes.
Oh I almost forgot, Heiter means to "put it on" Fern instead of "wear it on" but I decided to use "wear it on" for a double meaning, as an idiom for "wearing people down", meaning to hold them back. (Which is is how Fern perceived the ribbon.)
