Honestly got some whiplash seeing those dead corpses with the Irregular encounter only to them for them to be placed in the tournament as if it's a light hearted shounen series.

This is definitely trash and edgy. Everyone acts comically evil but this is one of the few Mangas where I really don't mind it much. At least that it's somewhat self aware, instead of trying to push it as a serious story.
