In ch 40/41 the author inserts an evil character out of thin air and suddenly presents an MC whose behavior borders on cruel and is completely inconsistent with his established character development. It seems like such a cheap ploy to create unnecessary drama, and it ruins the illusion for me...
I see from the comments that the story got rush-finished. I was going to drop it when the brother kicked the MC out the door, and the MC said “I’m sorry.” MC is a middle-aged approval-seeking basket case. And we’re supposed to root for him to fornicate with a 17-year-old girl before her next...
There’s been no progress in the relationship, and we keep seeing cute lovey moments that are just way too subtle and inconsequential. I was excited for awhile, because I thought this was going somewhere. But it is not. I am bored. And a bit resentful to have invested so much time in this...
Thanks for the spoilers. No easy way to get the raws to see what happened after ch 39. Glad they all sidestepped being AV stars and the main couple finally made it real.
There were plenty of storyline flaws - for example how MC magically acquired energy strings and became a master of the secret arts of both sects. And also why he went ahead with the original assassination when he knew they were not the sect responsible for his kidnapping. No logic there...
They even gave him sexy hips like a woman. I am just too weirded out. Did the author think a virtual gender change would make the series more popular?? He was so cool, but now he’s just a creepy freak. Not sure how long I can endure this.
Yoshioka looks like a natural born porn star, but she is actually a sincere person who’s just trying to make it on her own, because she thinks Kaori and Hidaka are the destined couple. Kaori dumped Hidaka and headed down the road to porn, because she thinks Hidaka prefers the porn star type...
Otakura is a bit dense. All the intimate cuddling, but he’s clueless that she’s into him. Then this idiot whispers in her ear to be physically close with only him, stupidly leading her on even though he has zero romantic interest. Frustrating.
