Here's the real question. When did the person "piloting" Evie enter the world? Remember that Evie isn't really Evie, she(?)'s some rando from our world that got isekai'd into Evie's body. When did that happen in Evie's timeline? The Protagonist would only know the broad strokes of Evie's life...
