I do like the relationship tree idea, I don't like it being in the front especially if it contains the relevant characters of the current chapter. I would even go so far as to say having a full relationship tree up to the current chapter would be nice to have.

I was expecting a different type of murder mystery from this; it always devolves back to supernatural. I can only assume most of the coincidences were probably made to happen by possession/auto-suggestion or something along those lines by the spirit.
