Principal repping me and my button-mashing brethren, powered by romantic nostalgia with the majestic-looking DJ 🥹🥹🥹.
I can almost forgive the Haruo bait this chapter. Almost.
I know it's a punchline + shoujo trope skewer but I love how un-dense Yashiro is as a female lead in this chapter. It makes sense to think stolen kisses are likely romantic-- I roll my eyes so hard when I read FLs justify obvious flirtations from ML as "Oooh he hates me!" or "He doesn't mean it!".
I did a happy dance when I saw the new season is out. ❤❤
Though not sure if I'm just not recalling it correctly, but chapter 45 seemed to be tonally different from the usual angsty ones of the story. I don't think I've ever seen comically exaggerated expressions + chibified characters before...
MC - play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
2nd ML - scumbag. No backstory can justify reneging on a promise to a friend.
FL - Just the usual dose of shoujo typical obliviousness that opted out of the PURITY ROUTE! As someone who *freely decided* (i.e. Not forced by religion or other authority...
Congrats Mangadex! Also, I'm mindblown that a week-long ad is that lucrative for the site.
Any chance we can have it as an option to enable in our individual settings so we can continue to support the site?
I usually like FLs that aren't passive in pursuing their passion (in this case, the very traditional Disney-que Prince).
But I was turned off by her
One chapter showed This made it a bit harder for me to root for her. (On the contrary, a similar premise in Seducing the Villain's Father...
Glad I dived in the comments and found a teeny bit of reassurance that my IQ maybe hasn't dropped badly from the quarantine. The past two chapters felt incomprehensible and pretentious-- a lot of navel-gazing mixed with verbal abuse masquerading as clever eloquence.
I am not dropping this...
I love how the mangaka allowed the readers to piece the rest of the story elements together (e.g. the prince) and the pragmatic elements here and there (negotiating). So cute! 😍
"the last and final emotion I am allowed to have" got me right in the kokoro.
Shoot noooooo! I have already chosen my horse in the race. Don't do this to me, author-san!
The look of amazement on little brother's face as Dowun uncharacteristically shows attachment was what really got me. Cunning, calculated folks don't usually hold on people or things that may impair their survival, even if they did invest their time in it. I feel this flash of vulnerability...
That's the most facial expressions I saw from Father so far. Particularly enjoyed him mulling in jealousy over the thought of Yenny hugging other men. 😂
