I'd actually really like it if the endgame of the story was them just being friends and having a healthy relationship since neither of them really know how to do it. Maybe the door could be left open for more in the future but it's not what either of them really need right now.

Aoki's head also looks too small for his body. It's really unsettling.

I think they meant the original art looks AI generated. Certainly the bodies are much more three dimensional and detailed than the heads, which are very flat and have hard edges. They look like they don't fit together.

Fear of heights, vertigo, call of the void, etc are so common and rooted in human psyche so I feel like it makes sense
