Anyway, this was a really charming first chapter. I'm not always into the 'picking up strays' subgenre but the strays in this story are very adorable and Akira herself is very cool and seems to have an interesting backstory. Thank you for the translation!
At this point I don't even care about the Fujiwaras and all their awful plots, this two-parter was just so much fun and gave us a great look at the equal-opportunity fun times noblemen and women were having in the Heian period.
