Given it's a story about Ameri's Mother, I very much doubt that's the case. I'm thinking the disappointment is going to be somehow Ameri is too much a demon, not enough human for the factions and a complication requires them to send the mother to a human hospital.

What do you mean? The chapter before Fine's battle against Mikagami had a super rich guy using a skill from an Item, so they totally do exist. Fine crushed the guy, and it turned out his 'bodyguards' were actually Mikagami in disguise.

Perhaps the mother nearly dying is part of the reason there is no second child.

I only read the Web Novel, but I'm pretty sure the three undergo bridal training of some kind there too. I fully remember the 'Hero' going off on his own redemption quest alone. I don't remember the end goal of said Bridal training to be MC's brides, just that they weren't left to hang.
