Although we would all love to have cool rays of death on the battlefield (ignoring the dreadful ramifications of being on the wrong end of that armament), it seems more of an experimental gimmick, at least for now with our current technology. Same goes with railguns.
There is the energy cost...
All this talk of losing heroines reminded me of this title ( https://mangadex.org/title/4a4d2e5f-c4f4-47e3-9725-133bd5869c05/romcom-manga-ni-haitteshimatta-node-oshi-no-make-heroine-o-zenryoku-de-shiawase-ni-suru ); god it's been 2 years since last chap :meguuusad:
Thanks for the TL! Guess the fort debacle is finally over.
One thing that I do have to nitpick is that on the first page, the MC calls the female commander 'sir'.
Other than that, pretty good job!
Oh, you might be right! My mistake
I didn't realize this model existed beforehand, quite interesting
That's probably why when looking at it, I thought it was a bit too beefy and bulky to be your run-of-the-mill 1911, although that might just be due to the angle
Another thing to note, a 1911 doesn't have a fire selector on the slide there. I think what they've done is amalgamate both 1911 and some Glock model into one pistol, maybe a Glock 18 slide as that's the one with a fire selector on 'em.
That being said, the story concept is quite interesting...
Interesting, and honestly it does make sense!
I just wanted to say though, that I wish that I can do the thing where the guards cross their halberds to block people from accessing a certain doorway, it's not needed at all but so cool regardless
yeah I guess unfazed is more accurate. Thanks for the link btw, will surely read later. While reading it, it kinda reminds me of this title as well https://mangadex.org/title/425f2ccf-581f-42cf-aed3-c3312fcde926/soredemo-ayumu-wa-yosetekuru , with how the MC seems serious and unwavering while...
I wonder, is there any other works that have the MC like this guy here? It's just refreshing to see a mature MC for once.
the only thing that comes to my mind rn is this one somewhat

Another fun fact:
City guards apparently use halberds as a way to combat fires, by using them to help ventilate fires (poking holes in the roof), gain access to fires (breaking down doors/walls), and assist in containing fires (demolish nearby flammable houses)
It is said that the practicality...
