@Plattbagarn I mean you're in the thread for a manhwa. You shouldn't be surprised when puffed rice cakes aren't the first thing that come to mind for a lot of people.
@Cloverfr:
Wat. In the first chapter Roel says, "You ... Bastard! I've always been a woman!!", when her soul was being transferred by the demon king. How is that not an explanation?
@eviljackspicer:
She needs both. Doctors push pills and therapy that take years of work to see a result. Support from those close to a patient plays a significant role making that kind of treatment work. Ensuring compliance with medication in particular is really difficult otherwise.
@tblst:
You can't separate the physical and mental effects of aging from that part of the plot. It makes sense that a character that has a younger body will act younger than their actual age before they became younger.
You've got a 20 year old guy dressing like he's 80 and playing croquet...
@tblst
That's kind of the point. A lot of how people behave is due to the effects age has on the body. It's not like there's a lot they can do to show they were formally geezers in ~5 pages a chapter anyways. Between the clothes, mannerisms, and habits the author is still making some very...
@FTU
...
That's the point. Mental illness causes that kind of behavior.
This I agree with. It's the hook to get readers that wouldn't otherwise be interested to read though. I'll admit I still find it a bit off putting.
You know that thing about mentally ill people being irrational...
They already showed it at the end of the chapter. She's going to make ****ing hamburger steak. As if no one in this world has ever seen or eaten meatloaf. It's like serving a TV dinner at a wedding ffs.
IDK why you'd think a Japanese author is copying a Korean author when there are multiple examples of this type of plot published in Japan before Dungeon Defense ever was.
