Thanks for all the Go Nagai stuff you've been translating, especially Harenchi Gakuen!
Glad to see another vintage manga translation group, there really aren't enough of us out there.
Yeah, I like him too. He fills the plucky underdog role quite nicely, but is still competent enough to get things done.
Similar to someone like Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho, or maybe Zoro from One Piece.
Still, he brings his own personality to the table, and isn't entirely a carbon copy of those...
Based on the series I've read from Akimoto Osamu, he definitely seems to know his stuff when it comes to firearms. I'd probably call him a bit of a gun otaku.
He puts in a lot of detailed descriptions about various guns into both Kochikame and Black Tiger, as well as Clice.

Translation is nice as always, but the typesetting is much improved from previous releases, and the scan quality is sharp, crisp, and excellent resolution now! <3
Yeah, I was also wondering why the scar simply reappeared on his cheek due to re-awakening as himself.
The governor says he had it surgically removed in this chapter, I wonder if that means it was just covered up with plastic surgery, but that still doesn't explain why getting his memories back...
For anybody interested in the redrawing process, Here's some before and after images on a few pages.
I didn't do full redraws for every page, as it was sometimes just easier to take the shortcut of redrawing after the text was placed, but I thought some people might want to see the textless...
