The creator, Risa Ito is not retired. She is currently still working on manga, it's just that the last time she debuted a new work that wasn't a sequel to anything was back in 2015 with "Lazy Diet". These days, she's hard at work with two ongoing series, "Hey! Hey! Pitan!" and "Mother's Door".

Yup, and thanks for sticking around! I’m still currently working on the last two chapters of this volume, so it won’t take as long for those to come out as between this and the last chapter.

Yeah, no problem!! After I me and Baldman are done with Ebichu (or maybe even during), I'm planning to scanlate more of Risa's works about her personal life and such. Feel free to look forward to it!

Yeah I agree, it's def a bit more light-hearted in comparison to other nekojiru works.
