I remember reading the manga for a couple chapters when it first came out and then reading the novel out of curiosity. The manga adaptation is way, way, way better at fleshing things out (not to mention the art is STUNNING. im still not over the creepy god designs and nightmare sequences...

I love when you can see the influence from another artist. This artist definitely grew up on arina tanemura (especially how they draw their guys) and developed their own style from there, very nice. Well he's definitely a stalker but as long as they're happy LOL

I really hope this artist tries out a gothic vampire horror series after this because WHOO BOY their art. It's so good. It elevates this story so much. The beginning nightmare sequence????? and the bloody smile marks painted on the shattered mirror??? hell yeah.

i feel like this is the antithesis of what the series is trying to say... while it's not bad to sympathize with haejoon, i dont think the intent behind his story is to feel like he's better off dead. death is the definitive end, and he doesn't seem like he wants to end it at all while he's in...

i always think that she's hamster coded bc her animal ears in the chibi style are so tiny and round but is she puppy? is she kitty? her animal motif tail is drawn a little long...

Im glad haejoon is getting to know just how much eunyung has helped and had his back when he wasnt able to see it (bc eunyung would never tell him 😭). And all that is a product of how genuinely haejoon has treated eunyung this whole time. It's kinda crazy to see how quickly eunyung folds...
