In the raws, Xiao Jiu calls her 姐姐 which means big sister. I don't remember if it was explicit, but for me they are both snakes so likely siblings or some common parenthood in their clan. It can be honorific though.

This chapter has sudden (and unexpected) plot & lore development. I am quite glad that Kath is not just your bland villainess... and Lyra needs to learn more than just how to fight. Though some bubbles were hell to typeset for me, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter~
