Quite the fool isn't he? How does this help Kokoro? There is no way around the fact that she will eventually need to feed off other men. When that day comes he could either of been there for her as a husband or nothing more than a fading memory, one is obviously better than the other.

If they are both demons they will need to sleep with other people. Less than ideal but its better then Takeshi dropping dead within a century and leaving Kokoro a widow for the rest of her long life.
