Definitely surprised about the interior at page 5, having a themed kitchen and living quarters with a whole garden in it does sound a bit excessive, even for a ship of that size.
It definitely is a reference to it - Given you can just be fine in Minecraft with half a heart and look like there is nothing wrong, but anything even taking a brush at you will take you out.
Kosuke looks way too healthy and acts like it even though he hangs by a thread with his actual health...
Coincidentally, right when there is some development going with the duo! Because why else would the barely-mentioned childhood friend from years ago get a free 'sudden tranfer-student introduction' pass right into the same class and school they are in at this very moment, right?

I think people were still coming down from the last arc, and perhaps expected something more of a light-hearted filler for a while until we jump back into the more serious things. Hell, I could do with less lewd and actual storytelling or simple humor.
Just feels like the sexual parts kept...
I did expect a little more out of it, like peeling some of the layers back in a conversation or through ruderus' self reflection talk.
But can work as well at times.
I am aware - Though it is something unusual that regular folks comment about it when its the norm. I MAY read too much into it, but we have to see how the next few chapters are.
