I don’t know exactly myself but I do know its fairly common in anime and manga for police to be more community involved and personal with the locals.

I think it’s more so that they’re skipping class rather than not being from the area. Being taken into custody might be an overreaction though lol. They’ll probably get a talking to or call to their parents if they’re caught.

Yep, there was an announcement saying chapter 18 is the end + an epilogue. I haven't read chapter 18 yet, but it definitely seems like not enough time to come to a satisfying conclusion 😭

this shit is so messy idk how they're gonna wrap it up in 4 chapters 😭 also sorry this one took so long. I was planning on releasing it in June but then I got hooked on a visual novel for like a week. (it was really really good, check out usonatsu if you have the time)
